Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification :
For Cultural Quota  : Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board. (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories 50% marks are not required for SC/ST candidates and for candidates having higher qualification)
Scouts & Guides Quota :

For Grade Pay Rs.1800/- : Candidates should have Pass in 10th standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized board.
For Grade Pay Rs.1900/- : Candidates should have Pass in matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board. (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST candidates and for candidates having higher qualification).
Note : Candidate should be a President’s Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover OR Himalayan Wood Badge Holder OR A Pre-HWB trained Scout Leader/Advanced Trained Guide Leader/ Captain. OR Possession of Degree/ Diploma / Certificate in  Guitar/ Mandolin/  Harmonium/ Synthesizer from Government recognized Institute.
Nationality : Indian
Age Limit : 18 to 30 years (as on 01.01.2015)
Age Relaxation :

SC & ST Category : 5 years
OBC-NCL Category : 3 years
Selection Process : Selection will be based upon performance in Written Test & Personality test/ interview.

SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Physically Challenged, Women, Minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes need not pay this fee.
